A Story of the Last Remaining Old Growth.

B.C.’s Old Growth Forests are virgin forests, untouched since the last ice age.

Representing one of the last lines of defense against climate change. Less than 3% remains.

Rematriation explores scientific, cultural, economic and sociopolitical perspectives, as citizens fight to protect the last big trees in British Columbia from being felled. Like peeling back layers of an onion, the lessons we take away permeate the fabric of the Canadian identity.

Can they be saved?

We visit the front lines of one of the largest and longest displays of civil disobedience in Canadian history. The Fairy Creek blockade, where land defenders risk their lives to protect the last intact Old Growth Watershed on Vancouver Island.
